Hands-on cooking class

Imagine the fun of a hands on cooking class.

Additionally we do corporate and group events!

Join photographer Mike Buck and cooking instructor Lili Courtney in the kitchen for pro tips on plating and shooting gorgeous food photos with off camera flash. Mike is the man behind the lens and responsible for the mouthwatering images on the Waitr app. He knows a thing or two about photography and knowledge comes with a bonus: Mike also holds a nutrition degree. Win-win!

This four-hour workshop will include both lecture, lighting demos and hands-on segments. Mike & Lili will teach plating tips along with direction on working with off camera flash lighting techniques.

If you're an aspiring food blogger or food photographer but feel limited to using only "natural light" from your window, this is the class to learn how to replicate that look using off camera flash photography! Have a great understanding of the exposure triangle but never used off camera flash before? Too intimidating? We will show you how easy it can be!

A full lunch will be served. This class is limited to only 6 people. Sign up fast!

Class requirements: DSLR camera in good working order. You must have a working knowledge of your camera. While Mike can assist with some setup questions, we can't guarantee we can troubleshoot your camera's issues. A 50mm or macro lens is required--your "kit" lens is not the best tool for close up food shots. Please be sure you have a memory card with available space, fully-charged battery and wall outlet battery charger. If you have questions about camera requirements, you are welcome to contact us in advance.
