Bruschetta Bar - Candied Bacon Ribbons

Candied Bacon Ribbons

 

1 pound thick-cut, high quality bacon


¼ cup brown sugar


1/2 cup Delightful Palate’s Wild Mathew Berry  Vinaigrette

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine brown sugar and Wild Mayhaw Berry in a small bowl, whisking well to form a thin glaze. Set aside.

Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Put a wire cooling rack on top. Place the pieces of bacon on top of the rack, overlapping if necessary. Place bacon in pre-heated oven and cook for 10 -15 minutes. Until  bacon has turned golden brown

Remove from oven and brush one side of the bacon with the Wild Mayhaw Berry Glaze mixture. Return to oven and cook for 5-10 minutes. Check to make sure it is crispy if not return to oven for 5 minutes, Check to make sure it doesn’t burn.  Cool. Serve as appetizer, crumble over salads or BLT sandwich
