Eleven days and counting before Kickoff in Death Valley, and the question still remains ice or no ice while sipping bourbon at an SEC tailgating party? While you ponder that question we know these Bourbon and Wild Mayhaw Berry Brisket Sliders or worth a splash of your stash.

 Brisket Sliders

Serves 6-8 

4-pound brisket

4 tablespoons of your favorite dry rub ( Brisket Rub Red Stick Spice Co.)

1 tablespoon of canola oil

1 cup Delightful Palate’s Wild Mayhaw Berry

¼ cup of bourbon

1 cup of liquid, water or beef stock

Slider buns 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Season both sides of the brisket with the dry rub

Heat a Dutch oven over a medium high heat and add canola oil put the brisket fat side down

brown for 3 minutes and flip brisket and brown on the other side for another 3 minutes. Pour in the bourbon, Wild Mayhaw Berry and  beef stock and cover and place in a 325 degree oven for 3 hours. Take out of the oven and degrease liquid and pour out the fat and add the drippings back into the pot . Slice the brisket against the grain and pile onto the slider bun and pour extra bourbon mayhaw sauce over the meat and top with bun.
