The Perrone and Sons hosted their Holiday show

Let's see how many bites we will get from our first holiday show. The day started out at 9:00 a.m.

Several of the LSU food Incubtor Tenants were invited to show off our their products by cooking lunch for the Farm Bureau Members in the new kitchen on campus.

When you move to a new town and the only thing you bring with you are your cooking skills, a pop-up cooking class is bound to fall into your lap. Just weeks after I arrived in Baton Rouge, my little sister’s friend  and now mine, Jennifer sent an email blast to all her friends inviting them to a “Girls Night Out But  We’re Still Cooking “ fete.

   The theme? Korean Barbeque

   The instructor? Me

Would you want to start your day with a cup of coffee with your daily-recommended dose of antioxidants. Who knew balsamic powder could be sprinkled on potato chips? Have you sipped cardamom and pear tea made with natural extracts

“We can sleep when Lili is gone,”  Peggy says as she walks out of her bedroom at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning and into the kitchen  where Lea and I are still cleaning up after the party. She then suggests we go have one more glass of wine on the screen porch. Lea pours the wine, we grab a stack of soft cotton quilts and wrap ourselves up in cocoons, sipping our wine and tee-heeing about the amusing events that unfolded during my going away party.
