Sweet and Savory Baked Crackers

You need an idea for a snack for  Your Mardi Gras and Super bowl gatherings. These little nibbles are sweet, savory and crunchy. They take no time to put together and pack up nicely.

Sweet and Savory Baked Crackers

adapted from Pioneer Woman

36 country club style crackers

¾ cup grated parmesan Cheese

¾ cup brown sugar

1 pound bacon (not thick sliced)

¼ cup Delightful Palate’s Wild Mayhaw Berry Vinaigrette

Pre heat oven to 250 degrees, Lay the crackers on a rack set on on a rimmed baking sheet. Place a tablespoon of Parmesan cheese on half of the crackers and a tablespoon of brown sugar on the other half of the crackers. Slice the bacon into thirds. Place a sliver of the cut bacon lengthwise on each cracker then lightly spoon on Delightful Palate’s Wild Mayhaw Berry Vinaigrette. Bake for two hours until sugar begins to melt and the bacon becomes crisp. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the crackers to cool on the rack before eating.
