My Favorite Homegrown Tomato Salad

My Favorite Homegrown Tomato Salad with Delightful Palate’s Balsamic Garlic Honey

  • 2 pounds of assorted homegrown tomatoes, cored, peeled and sliced
  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and chopped into cubes 
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onions
  • 1 pound of fresh Mozzarella or Burrata Cheese
  • ¼ cup Delightful Palate’s Balsamic Garlic Honey
  • Fresh Basil for garnish
  • Salt and Pepper

In a small bowl infuse the red onions with a few tablespoons of Delightful palate’s Balsamic Garlic honey, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Place the peeled sliced tomatoes on a platter season with salt and pepper, drizzle with a few tablespoons of Delightful Palate’s Balsamic Garlic Honey. Place avocados in a bowl with sliced fresh basil and repeat the same steps and layer over the tomatoes. Continue with the cucumbers, red onions and mozzarella. When all the ingredients have been layered garnish with fresh basil leaves and chopped fresh chives. Chill until ready to serve.
